better than good
Not even a Willis Gupton sing-a-long could make today any better. The beach was utter perfection: not too hot, gorgeous blue water, spiffy waves with enough punch to bodysurf, not a greenhead in site. Oh, and did I mention I have the entire day off?!
Three cheers for Ocracoke in July and birdsong and sunshine and taking a vacation from work, even just for the day. First, a drowsy afternoon and then . . . back to the beach, a glass of crisp white wine from Zillie's and fresh cold figs and cheese for dinner.

Ahh, yes, we do love those spiffy waves.
Jeeze! You guys get rain, and cooler temps... We get 102-105 everyday, no breeze, and no rain for WEEKS! Today will be 17th day straight over 100 degrees with no end in sight! Wish I was there! Enjoy!
